Which visa is right for you?

If you are a UAE resident, the 26B visa is the right pick. It is the cheapest (5 OMR + 26 AED = 76 AED), the easiest to apply for (online via the Royal Oman Police portal), and it covers the full 10-day duration. The 1-day border permit (50 AED) is the right pick if you are doing a single-day trip and you do not want to apply in advance.

If you are a tourist (not a UAE resident), the visa on arrival is the right pick for 100+ nationalities (EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, etc.). The cost is 5 OMR (about 50 AED), the duration is 10 days, and the application is at the border in 5 minutes. The express e-visa (25 OMR) is the right pick if you are from a nationality that is not eligible for the visa on arrival, or if you need a visa before you arrive.

Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Filipino passport holders cannot get the visa on arrival. They must apply in advance through a sponsor (usually a hotel or a tour operator). The cost is 25 OMR, the duration is 30 days, and the processing is 5–7 working days. We provide this service as part of our tour packages.

Documents required for every visa

  • • Passport valid for 6+ months from the date of entry
  • • Passport-size photo (for the e-visa, not for the visa on arrival)
  • • UAE residence visa (for the 26B visa) or tourist entry stamp (for the standard e-visa)
  • • For GCC residents: GCC residence visa
  • • For Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Filipino: sponsor letter from a hotel or tour operator
