The visa on arrival procedure at Al Dara border
The visa on arrival is available at the Al Dara / Al Wajajah border between the UAE and Oman, 24/7. The procedure is: drive to the UAE exit booth, pay the 35 AED UAE exit fee per person, drive 800 m to the Oman entry, walk into the visa office, fill in the application form, pay 5 OMR (50 AED) per person in cash, get the visa stamp, drive through the customs booth.
The whole process takes 10–15 minutes for eligible nationalities on a quiet day, 20–30 minutes on a Friday afternoon. The border staff speak Arabic and English. The application form is in Arabic and English.
