The Fujairah–Khasab drive is the longest of the standard UAE origin routes. The route goes west on the E87 from Fujairah to Sharjah (1.5 hours), then north on the E11 to RAK (1.5 hours), then west on the E18 to the Al Dara border (45 minutes), then the mountain road to Khasab (90 minutes). The total drive is 4–4.5 hours; total door-to-door is 5–6 hours.

1. Leave Fujairah on the E87
The E87 west from Fujairah to Sharjah is 1.5 hours. The road crosses the Hajar Mountains through the Al Hairah pass — scenic, with a few switchbacks.
2. Continue on the E11 to RAK
1.5 hours from Sharjah to RAK on the E11.
3. Take the E18 to the border
45 minutes from RAK to the Al Dara border.
4. Cross the border and drive to Khasab
