Operator tip — the freshest catch

The fishing boats of Khasab land at 10:00, and the catch is sold at the fish market on the corniche within an hour. The best fish to buy is kingfish (the local favourite, 1–2 OMR per kg). Take it to one of the small restaurants on the corniche (most charge 2–4 OMR to cook it) and eat it on the terrace overlooking the bay. The whole experience costs about 5–8 OMR per person, which is the best value fresh fish in Khasab.
